
Stella Chung, Esq.
Stella J. Chung attended the University of Washington School of Law, where she served as Notes & Comments Editor for Washington Law Review, held leadership roles in student organizations, worked as a Hazelton Research Fellow, and participated in the Technology Law and Public Policy Clinic.
Stella gained early prosecutorial experience at King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. She evaluated statewide DUI prosecution practices and conducted comparative research across jurisdictions to prepare a memorandum helping to inform internal discussions on consistency and policy. She also managed a high-volume docket.
After law school, Stella completed a ex federal judicial externship, where she assisted with jurisdictional, discovery, and privilege issues. She also supported the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington on civil and criminal matters.
Stella has served as a neutral mediator in King County Small Claims Court and participated in EEOC employment mediations. She was also involved in public-sector collective bargaining negotiations.
After taking time away from law to travel abroad and work with children, Stella returned with a clear focus. She now practices as an attorney with Desmond Law Group and concentrates her practice on dependency and termination cases.
