Hye Young worked in publishing for many years before she moved to the United States from South Korea in 1999. She studied comparative literature at the University of Wisconsin where she got her master's degree. She has also worked as a certified medical interpreter. In April of 2019, Hye Young completed the Washington State Bar Associations Rule 6 program. The WSBA Rule 6 program let her study to become a lawyer as she worked and learned hands on from experienced attorneys.

Hye Young has years of experience working with clients, listening to what they want to achieve, and developing goals of representation with them. She has successfully helped her clients achieve their goals by fighting for them in court, conferences, and meetings. Hye Young believes caring and understanding about her client’s goals is key to a successful outcome for her clients.

Hye Young is a tenacious litigator in court with many dependency, guardianship, and termination trial wins in multiple counties and before multiple judges around the south sound and beyond.

Hye Young enjoys hiking, geography, mathematics, and being the mom of a UW engineering student. She is also a great animal lover especially all things cats.
